This session rocked, literally! Twice last summer parent’s requested to pose their newborn on rocks. I know it’s probably not for the feint of heart, but I promise it’s just as safe as in a studio and I’m the photographer to pull it off. Miss Cora was so beautiful like her momma and big sis. Dad and grandma get huge props for being the spotters/assistants. I love the juxtaposition the different setups provided. Yes, my job rocks. Couldn’t resist using the word again:) .
Ah, what Newborns in Nature© by moi dreams are made of. I photographed Miss Claire at the end of April 2014 when this spot was in full bloom. There are thousands of white flowers on bushes along with apple and cherry blossom trees. Pure bliss for an outdoor newborn session. I look forward to this time every year!
Obviously having a summer baby in Colorado is “best” for outdoor, newborn photography, but I actually photograph newborns from March through October! It has to be atleast 70 and not raining/snowing of course. Yes we have seen snow in June, but the next day is 80:) I just have to be flexible! Safe and snug always. Typically outdoor newborns are a lot calmer/sleepier than indoors, but Mr. Adam was the exception, but boy, was he cute! Such a pleasure as always. Love that clients find me for my niche of Newborns in Nature©
We had such amazing weather Fall 2014. I just love the color that Autumn brings and surrounds the perfection of newborns. Miss Aubrey’s parents “brought” the pumpkin patch to us, how fun! I am sure big sis is a huge help and I can never resist capturing them while baby is feeding.
Gorgeous location + gorgeous momma to be = one happy photographer:) Daniel’s park offers panoramic views of the Rockies and never disappoints with it’s dynamic background, ie ever changing sky framing the mountains.
Mr. Asher had the most gorgeous red “mane” I have ever seen from a newborn. I brought a lion hat to go with his nursery theme and it obviously worked perfectly with his coloring! Such a fun newborn session in Denver.
and a fun outtake:)
To me, the highest form of flattery in my profession is being a photographer’s photographer. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Angela of Vintage Cupcake Photography. She has a gorgeous little family and it was so fun to work with someone that also specializes in newborns. I only wish our paths could cross a little longer as her family is moving out of the country. I wish them the best of luck! I know she will thrive wherever she is♥
Mr. Braedon was a gorgeous baby boy that rocked his session! I seriously have the best clients. Dad joked about incorporating an old car in the shoot and I thought it was too good not to. This old pedal car was/is literally in my neighbors backyard (thank you Miss M). We also had a bit of fun at the end “reenacting” the footprint:)
Whew what a year! 90ish sessions total primarily booked from referrals. Thank you all to my amazing clients, much love and hope to see you in 2014!
